Promotional Pricing – While they have standard monthly rates, Comcast has short term offers for 12 to 24 months at lower rates with high hidden fees. But then the price rises and we are again faced with an increased price after the promotional period is over.
Discounts – There are offers that can be obtained by combining services from Comcast where you can combine internet with cable or phone. Bundles can save $10-30/mo.
Own Equipment - Sometimes, people have their own modem and router rather than leasing them from Comcast which costs about $14 monthly. However, this comes with the disadvantage of having to lay down some amount of money to purchase equipment.
Taxes & Fees – Regional sports network fees, broadcast TV fees and taxes which can cost an incremental $5-15 per month.
